REMINGTON M700 L.H. 458 LOTT

This rifle started out as a Remington Custom Shop Grade I in 458 Winchester Magnum. The barrel was removed and the action trued. The lugs were lapped. The barrel was then rechambered to 458 Lott. An extra Recoil lug was added under the barrel. Both lugs are bedded into the stock with Devcon Aluminum. The stock has factory crossbolts. An integral Pendleton style muzzle brake was added. A Timney trigger was installed in place of the factory trigger. The scope mounting screws were drilled out and retapped 8-40. The leupold bases have been lapped to the receiver and are locktited under their entire surface in addition to the screw threads. The stock is English walnut with Remington’s hand rubbed oil finish. The Scope is a Leupold Vari-X III 1.5 to 5 with Heavy Duplex crosshair. In addition the rifle is fitted with Williams open rear and a ramp front sight.

This rifle has a fine tuned action and feeds 500gr Hornady round nose solids flawlessly from the magazine. The magazine holds two rounds with one in the chamber. This rifle is accurate and will stay in 1-1/4” with full loads if you do your part.

This rifle has fired Approximately 100 rounds. There are two very faint hunting scratches on the stock which are not noticeable until you really go looking. This is a very reliable dangerous game rifle for the left handed hunter.
